    President, Combined Insurance

    Rich leads all business operations, management and growth at Combined Insurance. He joined in 2021 after serving as President of Aflac Group Benefits. An actuary by training, he has extensive leadership experience in the insurance industry. 

  • Alex Faynberg

    Alex Faynberg

    DIVISION PRESIDENT, CHUBB WORKPLACE BENEFITS

    Alex oversees the growth and profitability of Chubb Workplace Benefits. He has two decades of actuarial, product development, data analytics and underwriting experience, and joined the organization in 2016. Previously, Alex held leadership positions at Liberty Mutual and AIG.

  • Mathew Matarrese

    Mathew Matarrese

    Division President, Combined U.S.

    Mat is responsible for driving the sales growth strategy for Combined agency distribution through agent recruitment, sales production, professional development, and building and maintaining client relationships

    Mat joined Combined Insurance in 2018 after holding sales leadership roles at Aflac and Colonial Life.  Starting his career as a sales agent, he is licensed in Accident/Health and Life Insurance.

    Joel Schwartz

    Division President, Combined Canada

    Joel leads Canadian business operations and growth for Combined Insurance. With 
more than 35 years in sales, finance and marketing, he previously led Colonial Penn Life Insurance, 
a top life insurer.

  • Chris Anderson

    Chris Anderson

    Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer

    Chris manages the end-to-end leadership of the company’s finance function. He joined CombinedInsurance in 2014, and previously held the role of Controller. Chris has 30 years of professional accounting and finance experience at a major accounting firm, where he led the delivery of audit 
and tax services to several large insurance organizations.

    Michelle Bryer

    Senior Vice President, Chief Operations Officer

    Michelle is accountable for Combined’s enterprise operations across North America. She has more than 20 years of claims and enterprise operations experience. Most recently, she served as the Vice President of Operations for Unum’s Life and Long-Term Care claim operations.

  • Janet Buzil

    Janet Buzil

    Senior Vice President, Product Innovation and Delivery

    Janet leads the organization’s Product team for all distribution channels. She oversees strategy, development, marketing and enablement across Combined in the U.S. and Canada, and for Chubb Workplace Benefits (CWB). Janet joined the company more than a decade ago, previously serving as CWB’s Vice President of Marketing and Product Development.

  • Dan Cox

    Dan Cox

    Senior Vice President, Information Technology

    Dan oversees application development, architecture, infrastructure, data and cloud management and production support at Combined. He has nearly three decades of IT experience, joining the company after leading technology and operations teams at CNA.

  • Steve McCoy

    Steve McCoy

    Senior Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer

    Steve oversees all North American Underwriting functions, including the maximization 
and optimal balancing of revenue and profitability targets.  He joined Combined from 
Unum, where he worked for more than two decades in both individual and group business.

  • Jason Mulligan

    Jason Mulligan

    Senior Vice President, Chief Actuary

    Jason directs the organization’s Sales Channel actuarial support, Valuation, Pricing and Portfolio Management functions. Jason has been with Combined for the entirety of his more than 20-year career.

  • Frank Rockett

    Frank Rockett

    SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, HUMAN RESOURCES

    Frank leads Combined Insurance’s North American Human Resources team, overseeing employee relations, corporate recruiting, talent development, and training. A trusted advisor and employee advocate, he joined the company in 2019 after nearly 30 years at Chubb. Frank's leadership roles have included those in operations management and in HR supporting Chubb’s Field Operations, the Commercial Insurance and Personal Insurance businesses, and Global Corporate groups.

  • Ronda Tranter

    Ronda Tranter

    SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL COUNSEL

    Ronda oversees all legal and compliance matters at Combined's three North American businesses. She has more than two decades of experience in the life and health insurance business with Aflac, Colonial Life and Unum. 

  • Steven Johnson

    Steven Johnson

    Vice President, Growth Solutions, Combined Insurance

    Steven oversees critical enterprise support for Enrollment, Marketing and Communications.

    In more than 20 years in the voluntary benefits industry, he has led Product, Enrollment, National Accounts, and Inforce Client Growth organizations at two of the largest carriers in the industry. Steven began his career at Colonial Life, where he spent more than 15 years, before moving to Aflac, where he spent more than two years.
